I need some major advise.  I have tried Benetton and Ferrari
and neither will get me to the end of the season, I go
bankrupt.  It happens about Montreal.

Has anyone gone through the entire season? HOW?

Any help would be appreciated.

By the way, my opinion, as a strategy sim goes, not too
good.

One of the solutions is to try one of the short-term contracts. The one I
tried is Simtek where you get $50 million. It's described as if some rich
guy starts a new team and you must win a race in three seasons. I managed
to win at Silverstone, Verstappen did a good job keeping Herbert behind
for last eight laps. I also managed to finish a season with Williams with
some descent sponsorship. but at the start of the new season my balance
was just over $700,000 and I lost all the good drivers.

At the beginning, hire a lot of commercial people (I think I had little under
30). Then put all their effort on sponsorship deals, and none to merchandising.
Next, check which country will host the race after the current race, and
try to consentrate on a sponsor from that country. If you keep this until
after the race in their country, they almost always offer you sponsorship.
You don't need to put more than maybe 20-30% effort on a "brilliant" sponsor,
at least if you do well in races. At the start of the game you may have to
wait a few races until the first sponsorship offers, but thereafter you
shouldn't have any problems. I get over 3,000,000 a race from my sponsors
(all places are filled with "brilliant" sponsors).
Oh, and buy all the promotional merchandising stuff.
