Don:

He was talking about 50 degrees.  A far cry from 90 degrees.

Every time I hear about the things that Huggins is "capable" of I think
of that conference call you made to me with Huggins on the other end.

Tell me he didn't implement what we talked about.  Because everything I
read sounds like he did.

The ability to run outrageous laps CONSISTANTLY sounds a little "fishy"
to me.

Robert:

Yes I know it was supposedly 50 degrees but I see no proof posted in
any logs..  And my other comment was that dave did a 190 at below
90 degrees...

I'm just saying that ROBERT isnt the only one running at over 190
below 90 degrees...

GT86... How many 190's have you run at less than 90 degrees

Don Wilshe, IVGA

GT86 - You know the rules on HAWAII, no cheating and if you cheat
that PAPYRUS HAWAII is gonna ban you.  PAPYURUS has all the data
and has never said anything to anyone or ever banned HUGGINS.

Remebers the HAWAII POLICE are PAPYRUS not us.  And you must have
faith in the system.

Why dont you explain to all of us what you said which would
allow people to go faster.  Was this a concept or a dream
of how to go faster.  We are all waiting to hear exactly in
detail of what our have figured out.

Do you not remember or do you really want the "world" to know of this
ruthless method of CHEATING.

The discussion we had was not about how to cheat, but how to detect
cheating.  I said under the conditions of Head 2 Head or Hawaii racing
it could be difficult to detect cheating if it was done proper.

I mentioned that the if a program was written to appear to be
Nascar(Multi etc.) to the server it would assume the data sent to it was
correct.  Each driver's computer determines the position and condition
and performance of thier car.  The Host's (Hawaii) computer coordinated
the data for each driver.

If your Nascar clone says your new position is at X then the host will
accept that.
The clone doesn't even need to show the race (i.e. no graphics) just
send data.

15 times per second you send in your new position on the track.  If you
want to be going 200 mph you simply calculate where that would put you
on the track and send in that location.

The math envolved is very simular to how the AI works.  You've seen AI
cars drive thru walls. (Oops that was IRC2 - Long Beach)

It's simply

1) Where am I at on the track.
2) How fast should I be going at this point.
3) If I were going that fast where would I be next.
4) Move to the new location.
5) Send in the packet with your new location.

Repeat 1 thru 5 until the race is over.

You can modify step 3 to include lateral motion for passing.
Incoming packets tell you where other cars near you are located.

Include A modified lap pattern for pitting.

You can be impervious to Damage, Weather, Traffic, everything.

Geeze Don I was trying to stay out of this but i couldnt resist.....

Comon Don if they say it was a 50 degree race then why cant you accept
it.. How in the world are you going to see a log when they just ran the
race...

And my other comment was that dave did a 190 at below

Well how much lower is the question...80+ is alot dofferent than 50
degrees

Don if you talk to Papyrus as much as you lead us to belive you would
know that Papyrus is not banning anyone for cheating on Hawaii and
wont.. remember "hawaii is a test bed" i belive thats how you put it to
me when we had are discussion before on old Huggy They will let it
happen and just tell you to not join any races he is in.

A interesting concept.  But you're saying someone actually *did* this?
What the...

It blows my mind that some weenie would want to win so bad that he'd
actually go to all this trouble.  Pretty silly, if you ask me.  Nice
buzzkill for everyone else involved, too.

Oh well, there's one in every village.
