I just got the newest interaction magazine (i guess its the newest one..
says Holiday 97 on it)... anyway.. a few questions and observations.
First, saw the adverti***t for the Puma GT wheel from Mad Catz.... I
know the old mad catz sucked... anyone know anything about this new one ???
>>> Actually MadCatz is focusing on better quality product in the future
with his new line of Panther controller, so I hope that it will be a descent
wheel. I assume it will still be a cheap wheel and sell under 100$.
Anyone actually purchase that Bobby Labonte video ??? Im just curious
what kind of production it is. I like Bobby... although im a Dale Jarrett
fan all the way (NASCAR stole the winston cup from Dale with the call at
Watkins Glen which took him from 3 to 32.... but then again, Dale is NOT
NASCAR's poster boy - but we wont get into that ;) ).
>>> The Bobby Labonte video is good for the Nascar2 Rookies. It's shos
the basic stuff to race and do good setups, and basicly it is the nascar2
Manual but on video.
The pictures of SODA look awesome... too bad I get the same framerate
playing the game as I do by turning the page!!!!!!!! *laugh* - ok, a little
too much sarcasm there =)
>>> Well SODA isn't just awesome one the graphic point of view (I like
the arcadish style of it). The SimEngine (SimEngine is my new word for the
game engine btw...) of the game is trully the best of all and is showing how
GPLegends could be the best SimRacing game ever (the True Sim we are all
waiting for). The AI is the best one since Indy500LThe simulation. It can
lurn your actual custom track. It actually races like a real driver and
fight you very well. Custom tracks are very fun to do also (even if I am
not able to do an "acceptable" one [-: ).
Anyone play any of Sierra's sports games ??? football pro 98 and Front
Page Sports Golf in particular??
>>> For Golf Simulators, Links98 is trully the awesome golf sim. It is
1step higher than any other golf game. Most of the Sierra product are
"good" but don't think that the sports sim of Sierra are as good as Papyrus
sims. You would be dissapointed :)
I like the drivers education program!! I told my wife I was going to
buy it for her and all I got was slap... thats gratitude for ya!!! ;)
>>> I would really enjoy some good reviews of this game, so that we
coould talk about it here. It looks like a bery original and unique "racing"
(or learning) game.
Reno Air Racing snapshots look pretty intense... interested to see what
kind of gameplay it has... I bet rubbing sheet metal doesnt have the same
effect as in N2 =)
>>> It will be good. Be sure. No Papyrus sims were bad. and this will
continue in the future I am sure of that. and I hope that we will talk
about it HERE ON R.A.S. not on those airplane newsgroups :-)
Grand Prix legends looks great.... except for the snapshot of the
***pit view. It is a picture of the "dreaded arms". All I can say is that
the arms look like 2 X 4's... nothing more than 90 degree angled
rectangles. Looks like ***to me... although the hands look pretty nice.
Option to turn on and off please =) (For those listening who are involved
in N3 !!!).
>>> You will see in the BGN trackpack movie that the hands are quite
good and I heard they aren,t finished yet (good news!). GPLegend is the
main focus of Papyrus, they are aiming for the first time the World Wide
market, and they want it to be the best racing game ever (witch they could
do easily, they have the best racing game ever presently!).
Lastly *shew* - Anyone have any info on Pro Pilot ?? Is it better then
Micro$oft Flight Simulator ???
>>> Dunno. But they are the 2main competitors has the "serious" airsims.
I think that www.gamecenter.com has a comparative review of those 2sims.
Btw I don't know how to put the post in non-html. It may looks ridiculous on
your PC's. I have the plain text setting ON but wenever I reply it goes
into html form :(
With great respect,
May the downforce be with you,
Good race at the Brickyard, (-o-)
