Sports Car GT - Improvements?

I played Sports Car GT alot when it first came out and I am just recently
getting back into the game.  Alot more than I did the first time.

I was wondering if there are improvements for the following and wondering
where I might get them if so?

1. Fix for the 1024x768 Resolution?
2. New Tracks?
3. New Cars? (I have the 3 cars from www.sportscargt.com)
4. Updated dashboards?  (they all look the same to me)
5. Updated sounds?
6. More realistic AI?  Right now, they always finish the race in the same
order.  I would like them to be more realistic and variable if possible
7. I have heard that it is about impossible to play this online, is that
true?  I think this would be a blast online

If you do nothing else get the Advanced Options Editor and enable "real" car
physics and disable the sticky grass.  The AOE makes the games more of a sim
than arcade, IMO.

Sorry don't have a link for it (try bhmotorsports.com)... I'm just leaving
for work and I'm almost late... :-)

Boy, your in for a surprise!

1. Unfortunately, no.
2. Yep, about 60. http://www.sportplanet.com/speedsims/jps/
3. yes, literally thousands!! There is no central location for all of these
cars so your best bet is to comb the boards over at
http://www.speedsims.com. Check signatures for links and search for cars
that you want - there is a very good chance that any car you can think of is
available.
4. Yes, check out http://www.thebigben.racesim.net/ for the best.
5. Yes, I think http://www.theuspits.com has a pack. Also, many cars come
with new sounds.
6. Your best bet is to get the Advanced Options Editor, again probably at
http://www.theuspits.com
7.  Not true. You will need a fast connection if you want to race with more
than one or two people but it's certainly not impossible. Check the boards
over at the Speedsims, they have a forum for multiplayer races.

And since everyone else on the planet usually recommends it...read through

We have a really ugly hack that fixes the 1024x768 Cube error.  Morton
Chalom is putting together a web page for it.  I think he might be on
vacation though, I haven't heard from him in a while.  If he doesn't
post in a couple of days I will send you the details, but basically it
involves removing all of the track animations.  Not pretty.

Thanks guys for all the great links and such.

I did not realize that it was so much work just to add something to this
game.  EA Sports sure did not make it user friendly :)

While I was at it though, I did sign the SCGT 2 petition.
