Off Topic - Uncoding Messages

Hi, I know this is off topic,but I thought someone here could help me.I
need to find out how to uncode e-mail messages that are sent to me. I've
recieved***pits and other things in coded zip formats and I don't know
how to uncode them. Do I need a program? I'm using Netscape 2.0. The
messages come as just gibberish. Trying to use Save As doesn't work. I
get a not valid archive message. Any help would be great,please don't
flame me to death, OK guys.

It depends on how they have been encoded.  Usually you can just and
paste the 'gibberish' into a new text document and then Decode that
file.  I use the program ESS-Code, but there are many others that will
