Well, if you have a Commodore 64, you could have gotten Shirley
Muldowney's Drag Racing or Top Fuel Eliminator for the Apple...about 10
years ago. IOW, there is not any that are currently out or any coming
out in the foreseeable future. The closest thing to one is the
Activision Classics set for Win95 that has Dragster in it that was
originally on the Atari 2600.

It is a ripe market just waiting for someone to come out with a
respectable sim along the lines of Nascar 2. I find it hard to believe
that no company has opened their eyes and realized the market that is
out there for a drag racing sim.

`       You're talking .400(perfect) reaction times on a .400 tree and 5
second races in F/C and Top Fuel. How fast will the computers have to
be? With all the trouble everyones having with N2 and the lot
graphics-wise with 200 mph scenery...  Although maybe that just means
we'll have another video card to buy..."OPTIMIZED for NHRA drag racing?"
I do agree though, I think the time is right for someone to launch a
drag racing game, but I would think it would end up just that, a game.

Actually there is a pack out for Win95 that has old Commodore games on
it optimized to run in Win95. It has that Top Fuel Game in it. If you
could actually call anything that runs in Win95 optimized.

How much scenery do you think these guys actually notice as they go down
the track.  Any frame rate problem could be called reality.  :-)
