I have been working away finishing first in each of the rallys to make
sure I can progress to Expert level.  But I am having a hell of a time
in Sweden, particualy on the ice track.  Anyone have any tips on how
to approach the corners here so I don't spend most of my time in the
snow!

Don't go too fast! Sweden needs to be driven carefully. On the first stage I
seldom go flat out. Staying on the track and not getting stuck in the snow
is the most important thing. I always think: I'm going too slow, but not
getting stuck makes we win everytime (alomst...). Steer into the corner
before you get there: let the car slide into it. But, again, not too fast:
don't get stuck in the snow. This goes for all the Sweden tracks. I think
there is only one stage (forgot which one) on which I go flat out (there a
long (almost) straight somewhere.
Setup: standard, expect for the speed settings: stage 1+2 max accel, 3+4
good accel, 5+6 max accel.
Hope this helps a little... I drive the Lancer nowadays, but also won Sweden
in the Subaru.

All I can say is that it pretty accurately models driving on ice and snow.
So use the same techniques you would in real life.  Oh........you're from
Australia!!!!!!!!!!  Just imagine driving on pavement coated with oil....
You have to react way ahead of time and be super-cautious about using too
much input--steering, brakes or gas.

We just had our first snowfall this year in Toronto a couple of days ago and
yesterday we got dumped with 10-15 cm...lots of opportunity to practise!!

Marc.
