What everything means and how and what I can change things in it? For
starters: is it possible to change the fuel consumption of the AI? They
always seem to have more fuel and better tyres than me (yeah, I know, they
have a better car handling and I should work on THAT instead of doing it the
other way around...) The difference between the AI and me begins to bug me.
I just did a race on Indy. With 35 laps (or so) to go there was a yellow,
while I was number 1. But as soon as I saw AI cars go into the pit, I knew I
lost the race: I can do about 30 laps on 22 gallons, so I didn't dare to
pit. My only hope was another caution period, but even then I'd probably end
up on the end of the pack. But there wasn't another yellow, so I had to pit
while almost everyone drove on happily. So I would REALLY like it if the AI
was just as 'bad' as me, as far as fuel and tyres are concerned...
BTW What also irritates me (among other things, like the not correctly
working double file restarts and the weird things that can happen when
restoring a saved race (like cold tyres, giving me a 166 lap instead of the
usual 175...) and the cars braking VERY VERY VERY abruptly (I wish I could
brake that fast: what a pit stop that would be!) at the strangest times
during a caution, crashing up my car) is the fact that the pit crew isn't
always that smart: I pitted with only 5 laps to go. But instead of giving me
4 or 5 gallons they filled me up completely! This has something to do with
pressing certain F-keys in a certain order, but of course this shouldn't be
possible. So now I ALWAYS will set the fuel myself AND leave that little
fuel window open, just to make sure the pit won't give me 22 again. Nascar 3
is a buggy game. Incerdible, after all these years Papyrus worked on it.
Still, I REALLY like the game. Isn't it a wonder...? :-)
