Helmet jam can't get to work HELP!!!

I have downloaded some helmet jams and some helmet bmp and I have placed
the jam (helmet1.jam) in the gamejam file and I just can't get the new
helmets. Yes I have a full instillation. Anyone please help. Thanks in
advance.

 The filename is helmets1.jam not helmet1.jam.

Try Helmets1.jam ;that's the name gp2 recognizes!

If this sounds patronising it is not meant to, but are you sure it
hasn`t worked?  Depending on how you have the drivers in the choose
driver list you may simply be getting the new helmets but in the wrong
cars.  You can easily check if this is the case by looking for the
helmet of a driver who wasn`t competing in 94 (Villeneuve, Diniz,
Salo, Lavaggi, Montermini, Badoer, Rosset)  If you see these helmets
then you will just have to alter the bitmap a little and then update
the helmets1.jam again.
For example my drivers appear in the list as
Hill    Villeneuve
Katayama    Salo
Alesi    Berger

so my helmets1.bmp has to be
Hill
Villeneuve
Katayama
Salo
Alesi
Berger

I did download a helmets1.jam (cant remember where from) and had a
similar problem(no new helmets)  When I converted the jam to a bmp I
found that the file was simply the original helmets1.jam and this may
have happened to you.

My advice is to check the actual bitmap, make sure the helmets are in
the correct order for _your_ names file, convert it to a jam yourself
and then put it in the right place.
