Right click the start button and choose open. Then open programs, and
finally StartUp...
This must be one of the worst inventions ever made. I'd like to meet this
geezer who made this FastFind personally...

Office 97 installs FindFast into your startup folder, this uses wads of
system resources, delete it from the startup folder and you should see a
reduction in sudden bursts of HDD activity.
Office 2000 may do the same thing but hides it under 'Office Startup' or
something like that.

I am not sure I would knocked the shit out of him, that would have been too
easy on him. But I'd love to ask him: "Are you the person who wrote the
findfast utility?". And then getting an aswer: "Yes, that was me". Then I'd
ask him if had any regrets. And if he claimed he hasn't, I'd just give him a
solid open handed slap across the cheek. And let the next guy in the line in
to do the same, and the next one, and next one, and next ....
Hahaha!
I wonder where a guy like that is situated inside the gigantic Microsoft
firm. Probably got an early leave...
Would have been funny, though, to try and find him under the cover of
praising the work of the man!!!! I wonder if anybody in Microsoft would buy
somehting like that!
