I had my first VROC race for a while last night at Silverstone. 30 minutes
practice and it felt nice to be racing the human AI again :o)

Had a nice race with the Honda that qualified just infront. I got by
underbraking for Woodcote which is always a hairy manouver :) He gave me
room though. We were very close for a few laps, but then he rammed into me
braking for Copse :)

It was one of thos irritating ones where I, the innocent party went spinning
off into the scenery and he raced away unscathed.

Ah well. I wasn't bothered at all. I just kept going. I could've shouted all
sorts of 4 letter words but I didn't want to. There's no need, no point.

Ah, if only the N4 online racing public could learn. Yesterday night a
guy spun because he bumped into my rear bumper and also spun because
of another incident and both times promised hell unleashed because of
his inability to drive a car. I simply ignored him.

And in other races if a incident happens on the first lap two or three
guys use the rest of the race to argue who's to blame. The hostility
is sickening.

If only VROC could incoporate some kind of ranking/LPI system like Sierra!
IMO, that would bring about three things:
1- More intense racing.
2- Fewer drivers dropping out of races before the end.
3- A lot more testosterone flavored hostility, resentment, and verbal
hostility. That must explain the nastier environment in N4 Online. Of
course, there's the redneck factor.

<post rearranged to keep the context>

I hope you're ironic here, but it doesn't quite get through. Well, at
least the hostility in the N4 has learned me how little finesse the
americans got when it comes to blast another guy.

An Englishman suavely replies...

That's "testosterone" and "fuelled", in English at least. We take no
responsibility for the way you colonials have butchered the language since
we let you go your own way recently.

Thanks TW...I have this spell check icon on the top of my OE5 newreader,
but it is always 'greyed' out.  I've never figured out how to enable it.
Just put my typing errors down to my furiousness over being labled, as a
Yank, almost as low as the rest of the world.  BTW...we've got Finesse..tons
of it...located in the Hair Shampoo aisle of your local grocer.

hehe. Seems like I forgot a "some" and a ":)" in my previous post.

It's just so funny when some people just can't say anything other
than:

(#yy) #xx = wrecker
(#yy) #xx = idiot (mf, a s s, other simple things)
(#yy) #xx %%" %#" %&# #Q#

and that is just after a simple mistake by a driver. There is no
difference if the poor guy is a deliberate wrecker (then it's not poor
by the way) or someone getting a bit too hot.

Dave, try installing a microsoft product that has a spell checker, (eg.
Word)  it should work in OE then.

No - let 'em drop out.  That's usually how I move up in the standings...<g>

Also I feel Vroc does fine just the way it is. There is not the
'mayhem' in GPL online that occurs in N4 online. Yes there
are ego-spats and a little barking once in awhile but nothing
like N4 online.
Also if they used a rating system in Vroc I wouldnt have the
'luxory' to race many of the faster racers 'I.e. Guy W, Ian P,
Paul G, Jesse B, Tim W, Richard P, G Nash, Eric C, WW,
Alison H, Nate H, & I could go on with a good 100+more.
{sorry if I left anyone out..lol} "O" Yea EldredP too :)
Bottom line: Vroc & Gpl are just fine :)
