        I need to know how to change the time of day settings.  I couldn't find it
in the manual or just browsing through OPTIONS.

It's only on the SE version.  When you are choosing the track, press
enter.  That will show you the map of the track.  The time of day
setting is there.

You can change the time of day on the track selection screen.
