I've probably posted too much, judging by the response I've provoked in the
last few hours. This is completely my fault

Despite this, r.a.s seems to have changed of late. The GP3 warez debate was
the final straw.

It's probably my fault, as I've got rather overe***d in the lead up to GP3

Now you can all knock Geoff Crammond in peace

Thank you and goodbye

All you did was provoke a response. That is exactly what newsgroups are for,
mate.Don't quit now your getting the hang of it.

 Opinions differ, it's human nature.

The only repsonse I see is people asking (mostly politely) for you to set
your clock right.  People got irritated because it took so long, it kinda
looked like you weren't reading follow-ups.
Look, from your perspective you are probably thinking that the GP3 movies
look fantastic and the screenshots do as well.  You are probably also
thinking how fantastic GP2 and F1GP were when they were released.  That's
exactly what I thought before I played it (i've already pre-ordered and paid
for it btw).  I was 100% convinced it would be fantastic.
I still think it's a terrific game, overall, and I will definitely get
endless hours of fun playing it.  But some of the criticism is justified.  I
don't want to hear people criticising GP3 either, particularly with the
language that's been used.  I've been playing Geoff Crammond games for years
now, but you have to be realistic about these things and call everything the
way it is.
Even the biggest Crammond fans have to be dissapointed with the games
genuine failings, and it does have some.

Hey, Chris --

I have no idea what you're referring to, or whether you're a "good guy or a
bad guy," and I'd bet a lot of readers and contributors here don't as well.
When a new sim is about to hit the streets, it always gets ugly around here.
I respond by reading about 1% of this stuff and wait for the shit storm to
blow over.

It'll all pass.

I haven't seen the messages you have posted  "the last few hours"  but
I  feel certain I would prefer to read yours rather than what some of
these"know-it-all" wiseguys have been venting with respect to GP3. Such
superior beings as those who  have been downing GP3 on the basis of a
cheater copy ought to get  their all knowing heads together and put out
their OWN F1 Sim. We'd all buy one, right?  Maybe just to get them to
shut up, or to encourage them to get together and develope their own
newsgroup:  (rec.Ihateyou.com.)
Don't give up on the rest of us; maybe these Omnipotents will
slink off after Friday and we'll be able to  let sanity return to RAS.
