N2 works in Dos only if I dont use cd,if I use cd the movie plays but
if I hit Esc or let movie play out the screen goes black nothing works
I have to kill power.
The cd has been tested on a another nascar owners computer ok,also
reinstall it over and tried before and after patch.
Computer is Ibm Aptiva M 55

Go to edit in Dos, bring up Autoexec.bat, you'll see a line that says
"rem by windows command" C:\device=mcdex.......blah blah blah.
You need to remove the rem statement, then save. This will allow the
cd driver to load when you boot into Dos.
You could also make a boot disk with the same adjustments, if you
don't like the idea of permenantly changing your files.
Also,...if you run a FULL install, you don't need the cd. I do this,
and I haven't seen anything different about the game play. I might be
missing the intro music and video, and maybe a more elaborate winners
circle scene, but I don't win often enough to worry about it!
