I've found this to be either a dirty pot, where cleaning with contact
cleaner/lubricant solves the problem, or a worn out pot needing replacement.

Your problem appears to be the later.

GET A DIGITAL WHEEL.  OR A NEW POTENTIOMETER.

In windows my steering wheel has now got a bad case of the jitters !!!. The
wheel in GPL shakes in one direction. windows joystick calibration it is
doing the same thing.

I have cleaned the pot in the wheel and tried reinstalling the device and no
luck, All the driving sims I have are doing the same but it is VERY
distracting when I'm trying to run off some laps in GPL!!

Anyone have some ideas ??

BOB you have problem I had, I fixed it with an THrustmaster ACM card, cost
about 15 dollars new full retail!!  you might find one cheaper!!!
