I purchased a new Geforce  video card that I am very hapy with.

my problem is when I boot my PC it seems to default back to 640 x 800
video diplay mode even though it seems to have recognised the card in
the start up screens

I have my setings on 1024 x 768

It doesnt always happen about every 5 or 6th retry it seems to go to
the correct mode.

I have tried to re-seat the card as I thought it might be hardware
related (Yes I installed the card!)

Can you guys please suggest what to do

Have you got a driver installed for your monitor?.  I know with the Voodoo 3
card, if you have an unknown monitor type, you don't get all the options.

Cheers
