Tire wear question?

Tire wear question?

by C. Sean Willia » Sun, 16 Mar 1997 04:00:00

I've just started playing NASCAR2 and have a few questions concerning
tire wear.  It seems I am able to run with the field at 93% fairly
consistently but have to pit twice for every pit they take due to tire
wear.  Am I on the wrong line or is my car not setup properly?  This
is hurting my performance.  Any help is greatly appreciated.

Your setup could need some work, but first I'd work on conserving those
tires in the corners.  Modify your driving style so that tire squeal is
minimized (not eliminated, just minimized).  Try braking a little
earlier into the corners; you may find you can get back on the gas
sooner as you exit the corners.

God Bless,
Steve
