GPLRank: World Record Rule please read

The World Record Rule: If you are submitting a time to GPLRank that is
below the current WR as seen at Schubi's GPL Hotlaps:
http://www.racesimcentral.net/, meaning you are not currently listed
there as the World Record holder. You must submit to GPLRank a replay of

player.ini. It will be subject to ALL the rules of submission at
Schubi's(go read them!) with the exception that all driving modes are
acceptable. If we see a sub World Record time, and don't have a replay,
you will immediately be deleted from GPLRank, and you will have to
delete the time from you player.ini before resubmitting.

Why the Rule: Far to many people are submitting lap times that are below
the current World Record. (we are accepting Schubi's Hotlap page as the
standard for World Record times) We can only assume these are due to
online clock smash's and kiddy/arcade style, no damage railriding.
Although GPLRank by its nature must be very liberal in terms of what's
acceptable, A World Record lap time is special, and should be held to a
higher standard.  We really don't want to start dealing with replays,
what we want is for people to pay attention to the validity of their
Best Laps, to hold themselves to a higher standard, and delete bogus
times BEFORE submitting then.

Comments welcome.

A welcome move Don. If people have set a WR, I can't believe they wouldn't
have a replay of it, so anyone honest will see no problem with this. I can
understand that this must be a pain for you administrators, and I'd like to
say I appreciate the effort that is put into maintaining the site. I just
hope the spirit of GPLRank hasn't been tarnished by people trying to pull a
fast one (no pun intended)

Attempting to ease administration was the main reason for this, but also to
improve the validity of GPLRank. There are currently 1,361 accounts at GPLRank,
you can count the people looking after it on the fingers of one hand. We need
people to police their own times as they are the best judge of a times
validity. It's really an impossible chore from our end, world record times are
just one spot where we can draw a line.
Everyone benifits when the individual driver holds themselves to a high
standard. GPLRank becomes more accurate, and the persons lap times and rank
number become more meaningful to them, because they know they truly earned it.
