SCGT - Set Ups

Tried playing around with a few of the 'garage' setups, but haven't noticed
to much difference when driving. Perhaps I haven't delved into them enough
yet, but can anyone confirm that they do make a difference to the car. And,
has anyone actually achieved faster times by tinkering with the setups?

In GT1, w/McClaren fully loaded in the second race (Atlanta in the rain), I
added all the wing I could and uped the front end areodynamics by 1 full
count.  Helped a lot on the control, w/tires on soft.  After I learned to keep
my foot out of it, finally was able to be competitive.

One thing to remember: make sure that "allow modified cars" under race
options is selected. Changes in the garage will not affect the car unless
this option is selected.

PJ,

1st of all, have you installed the advanced option patch? That makes scgt
a real sim,and the cars are much harder to drive. I just started to work on
setting up a GT-2 Saleen Mustang at Limerock. But I'm not using any of the
ad ons.

I found the gear ratios to be way off. So I started with them.

The biggest problem with trying to setup any car in scgt is the lack of
tire temps. I've gotten really use to using them, and without tire
temps, changes in a setup is completely subjective.
