***! I do the same thing at the chicane at Donnington. Still can't
get near the best lap times!

Try to take the last chicane as a straight line and go *through* it
rather than *around* it, IYKWIM?
I don't even brake here, just lift off the throttle a bit before the
last right hander, then power thru the chicane at full throttle, close
your eyes and pray......it works for me!
