Sports Car GT Configuration w/ TNT2

I have an ASUS V3800TVR TNT2 Non-Ultra AGP Card.

It works simply wonderfull in every single game, with one exception.  Sports
Car GT.

Viper, Nascar Racing 3, Powerslide, etc... all run at very high, if not max,
frame rates will every option, including draw aheads, turned up full.

However, SCGT is a slug, especially at the start when there are a bunch of
cars grouped together.  It plays like molasses.  It's almost impossible to
control at the start of races because the game is behind your steering
inputs.

Is SCGT just a slug, and that's life?

Hell, even Nascar Revolting (with the patch) runs better (graphically, at
least :)  )

Does anyone have the perfect setup for the game graphics options and the
TNT2 panels to make this game run well?

Complete System Description
------------------------------
Asus P3B-F
Pentium III 450Mhz - No overclocking
Asus V3800TVR Non-Ultra - No overclocking
256MB RAM
30GB Drive Space
SoundBlaster PCI 128
etc...

Thanks!

-Larry

Well I don't have a setup for you, but just wanted you to know that
I'm currently using the Guillemot TNT2 32Mb card. And there are
no problems with SCGT. Runs smooth.
A the time I'm running in 800x600 cause the new cars for SCGT
(The prototype's) are made in Hi-res, sp they eat a lot of fps.

My system is this :

Asus P2B-L
PII 450 Mhz
128 Mb
SB Live
Guillemot Maxi Gamer Xentor 32Mb AGP

Big difference between the non-ultra TNT2 and the Hot-Rod Guillemot :)

the # of polys of the hi-res cars when you start the race affects your
framerate...esp. if you have Techware Motorsports' Hi-res 3D wheels patch
applied (this patch shows the wheels in 3D when the car is farther away instead
of the flat 2D wheels until the car comes close enough to the camera)...I have
a Viper V770 Ultra on my PII 333 with 128 MB RAM

God bless,
Loren

Sounds similar to my situation.

Everything else runs great, even with a non-ultra TNT2
