Has anyone figured this out? Which factors affect the amount
of cash won during an event? Number of AI cars? Strength of
AI cars? Difficulty level? Number of laps? Length of track?

How long would take to earn 2.1 million within the game?

I'm not counting using the ISI_BABYFACTORY cheat code.

I've been using the F1 trainer with a field of weakened AI
to build my experience and get some easy points. I think
the most I've got was about 900 points, but I can;t detect
a pattern yet.

It's tedious though and you need a lot of wins to get
points for a new car. I've no idea why I'm doing it...
self inflicted martyrdom isn't clever! :-)

I found racing at the oval pretty easy...? but it doesn't seem to pay the
same amount of money for a repeated result...

Even at 1000 points per race, it would take 2100 races to
buy the F1. Maybe someone here who is a glutton for punishiment
will find that point values as skill level goes, up,
but I wouldn't want to have to run even 200 races at 10,000
points per race to get into the F1.

There's some useful info here...

...if you can swallow your pride long enough to look ;-)

5000 to about 30,000. Didn't take long. I then tried an advanced season
and the first track is a reversed track. I *hate* reverses with a
passion, so I quit in a huff.

***y stupid way of doubling the number of tracks, and very confusing for
my brain. "I know this corner!" it thinks. "But why's it the wrong way..."
<SCREECH... SLIDE.....BANG!> "...round?"

Thanks for the tip. I've got no problem with reading the posts at RSC.

I found mirroed tracks to be the most annoying when doing career mode
in the Need for Speed series. With High Stakes, you also had to deal
with weather (rain or snow), and night time races.
