I called the UK support number for "Desktop Applications, Home Products,
Personal Operating Systems and Hardware" on 0870 60 10 100 - this was on the
MS website at http://support.microsoft.com/directory/
Had to explain the problem about 4 times over but I eventually got through
to "Direct Services" who are the department that can authorise replacements
due to technical problems. It took about 20 minutes in all, and I basically
just tried really really hard to be as polite and friendly-sounding as I
could possibly be (figuring that they might be more inclined to help then!).
It worked too :0)
For reference, I bought my wheel online from www.dabs.com about 2 months
ago. Never contacted dabs about it as it wasn't really their problem anyway.
