I was doing a friday practice session, and drove the car in the pits. I
just left my computer for about two minutes to get a drink and when I
returned, it said "Practice Session Ended" (or something like that).

First I thought practice sessions were really, really short, but after
some testing I found out GP3 just ends the session whenever you don't do
anything in the pits for a few minutes. For some reason, I can't pause
the game when I'm in the pits so the only way I can do something in
between (get a drink, answer the phone, take a leak) is to drive on
track and pause the game there.

Yes, GP3 is really "realistic"... :(

Or have I overlooked a setting somewhere?

U overlooked that those practice sessions u can adjust how long they are

Go to Options/Race Options, u'll see it there

No, I didn't overlook that... GP3 ends the practice session *everytime*

already practicing for 30 or 3 minutes.

Perhaps it thinks you have had enough practice and do not wish to go
on, and therefore quits.
