: Is there a software program that will allow me to increase the
: aggressiveness of the other computer cars? I remember seeing one a
: while back but can't seem to find it. I did find one that list the
: code but I really don't know what to change. The one I remember had a
: template that allowed me to change the traction, power and other
: elements. I could also set the order of talent in the car set file.
: Any suggestions?
I know that there are a couple of "editting" programs out there for
altering the drivers2.txt file. I just can't point to them right now.
You may want to check out "The Pits" (http://www.ukps.com/thepits/).
In the meantime here are a couple of previous posts which explain the
numbers in the drivers2.txt file (which you can edit with a text
editor).

The numbers stand for:
Car Number..Chassis..Tyres..Power..Traction..Drag...Aggression
The Power rating dictates acceleration; Traction governs cornering
speed; Agression indicates how ealily the driver will move over when
challenged and Drag dictates wind resistance and straightaway speed.
The base line for these ratings is 500 and that value is adjusted up
or down to reflect relative ratings for each driver. A good
Higher ratings for Power, Traction and Drag indicates higher
performance. The opposite for Drag. The game randomly selects a
number within each range, generating a different number of each
session. The wider the range, the less consistent that car will be.

Hope that explains it.

In general terms, it determines how agressively an AI car will turn into
you to defend its position. Low agression numbers will cause the driver
to
more willingly yield a position when you put your nose under the car in
a
corner. Higher agression numbers will cause the car to rub you more
often
in an attempt to defend its position.
