I can't seem to get a***pit dash view in NFS3.  What are you supposed
to press?  I've got a UK version.  My PC is k6-2 450, with 16Mb Voodoo
Banshee.

        MY understanding is you don't have enough texture memory.  Am

Is texture memory part of the graphics card (its got 16 megs), or am I
doing something wrong?

No Dash in NFS3

You have enough texture memory.  This is a problem with the Voodoo Banshee
(and also the Voodoo 3 which I have).  In order to see the dash you have to
launch the game using Direct 3d instead of Glide.  You need to add an
extension to the end of the executable to force D3D.  I can't remember
exactly what it is,  but it is listed step by step on the Need for speed web
site in the technical help section.

I tried it, and it was ok, but the performance was so much better with glide
that I quickly went back to it.
