RAM Speeds

Yo,

My machine has 16mb of EDO. My BIOS identifies this as EDO, and
specifies my memory speed as 70ns. Since I noticed this, I've been
asking various people, and all seem to think that there is no such thing
as 70ns EDO, and that by nature all EDO runs at 60ns. Does anyone know
what the real story is? Could this just be a conservative BIOS setting?

Go into your cmos and set your ram speed to 60ns.  You can run edo at 70ns,
but why would you want to.

Is there are utility that tells you whether your EDO ram is
(a) capable of running at 60ns
          OR
(b) actually performing at 60ns

It is one thing to set it to this in the BIOS, and another to actually
get the benefit
