Is there any way to check your plank and tire wear during
or after a race?
Also,can you reverse stereo?Every time I hit a curb,the
sound comes out of the wrong speaker.
Thanks for any help.

Hi Ronald,

race? <<

No. The idea is that you take note of your rate of plank wear during
practice etc, and extrapolate that to make sure you'll have enough plank
for a race.

of the wrong speaker.<<

Gp2 does sometimes get the channels confused, with right-hand noises
occurring from the left-hand speaker and visa-versa. But the majority of
the time the sound is correct. The problem seems to occur most often, but
not limited to, when you touch the same side wheels on a curb repeatingly.

Of course I assume that you have your speakers/headphones the correct way
round.  :-)

Best Regards.

Kind of. You don't need to check your plank after the race, because it
will show up red on the damage indicator once it has worn below the
'legal' requirement. Once it is red, you won't get a penalty as you
would in real F1, rather it simply slows you down to an uncompetitive
pace.

You only get slowed down by a too worn plank.

And that ain't a penalty? :-)

Anyway, you can always check the wear on the plank there when it's useful:
TESTING!

Run a lap, get back into the pits, go to car-setup, advanced, check plank.
(Or something, my GP2 is Dutch.)

It shows very nicely how much wear there is on the plank. And using the
telemetry you can set packers, ride height etc. so that you have optimum
performance and least/none wear of the plank.

I prefer to give the word "penalty" a rather accurate definition. :^)

Yes, believe me, I have done a lot of that since I race in LFRS.
But there is a problem: to know accurately enough your plank wear you
really need to do a segment of your race. From start to first pit stop,
for example, and it takes time. I'm pretty sure real F1 teams check their
plank wear after the race, don't you think?-)

Surely, if you finish in the points in a "real" F1 race, with a plank
worn past the legal limit, you get disqualified....

Schuie did, when racing for Benneton, and he still went on to be No1...
