This is getting way out of hands! I understand the rush and the feeling to
have Your own GP2 [HoF/Setups/etc.] page, but it's getting way too much.
There should be ONE (or at most 2-3) place(s) where I should go for the most
up-to-date setups, hotlaps and interesting replays. It should be maintained
by somebody who has the time, the determination, and most importantly, the
space to do something like this.

But then, maybe the realities of the "market place" will kick in and only
those sites will survive that deserve it (because they are the ones used most
frequently). However, it would still be nice to have a one stop place for ALL
the stuff that's on the Web for GP2. (Yes, Dave, I do know about One Stop
Strategy, or whatever it's called ;) Now, could You just please start
organizing the links into logical groups?).

I understand the drift of your views, but I think you are missing a
major point - there is a "one stop place". It's called 'The Internet'
& more specifically, 'The World Wide Web'. Provided Web pages don't
get all isolationist, you should be able to get to any useful
information you require by means of people putting in links to other
worthwhile sites.

What I do fully agree with, however, is that we don't want a plethora
of sites that put up _identical_ information.

I still haven't decided whether to set one up myself or not. I was
planning (yet another <g>) HoF but no-one seems interested, so there's
little point in my bothering :(. I might still set one up if for no
other reason than to provide a convenient list of links for my own
purposes & because I want to get to grips better with HTML and web
page design. I'll only advertise it to the rest of the world, though,
if I feel it adds something.

Eventually, many of the GP2 web pages will "die" off. Most of us will tend to
frequent one place or another eventually. But it's the best way. Give us a
whole bunch of choices, and let us decide. Some of the "new" GP2 pages look
really promising. As far as a "Hot Laps" page goes, I'll have to wait to see
"Gizmo's" page, as it seems he has some experience in doing this. It still
remains to be seen how hotlaps will be deemed "legal", ie. what help you can
have turned on, etc.
