This is a quote from an article about the upcoming NRL in Sierra's trade mag, InterAccess..

"A special kiosk has also been set up to sample NASCAR racing at the "DAYTONA USA" display area at Daytona
International Raceway in Daytona Beach, Florida."

Daytona won't let Papyrus use the track but are helping promote the game now??
Does this mean they've realized how dumb that was, and are letting you put the track in Nascar2?

Don't read that much into it.  Yes, we have done a pavilion at the new
Daytona USA theme park which offiically opens next weekend.  And, yes,
we did do the Daytona track for it.

HOWEVER, that does NOT mean that we have the rights to use it in the
game, and it does NOT mean that we are any further along in getting
the track for a retial product.  Sega has an exclusive until April of
'97 and there's nothing we can do about it... honest!

BTW, the track we did for the theme park will not work in the game
(NCR 1.x and/or NCR 2).
