What happened to discussion about the split?

I recently came across an old saved article while I was deleting some old junk
on my HDD. ANyway this article was about the proposed split of RAS into other
categories ie. rec.autos.simulators.open-wheel and
rec.autos.simulators.stockcar
I would be one person that would like to see this happen. I don't mean for
this to sound like a flame but I don't like reading about NFSII when I want to
read about N2 and I'm sure many people feel the same way. Hope to here some
reactions and maybe someone would like to try doing this? I could be of help
if needed.

why don't you get a decent newsgroup reader and use filters? I use
Agent and it's great for getting rid of posts I don't want to read.
That kill-file is pretty large by now. Getting rid of those spammers
is always a challenge.
take care

I've never heard about that, but, hey, sounds great to me!
