I have personally found IE to have some problems on my home desktop
machine, and have loaded an old version of Netscape Navigator to view pages
that regularly cause IE5.x to ***(lock up). First it was the CART.com
pages, which work fine again since CART's website rewrite, but now it's
Speedvision.com that freezes that machine. Weird.

I mean that OE was working like a champ, but IE choked on anything but the
home page (MSNBC in this case). If I changed the home page, the new pick
came up fine, but everything else either didn't at all, or arrived with all
the alacrity of a NASCAR 'investigation.' I had recently tried Tiny
Software's firewall and deleted it--or so I thought--but it somehow had left
filters in place. I installed IE5.5 over 5.0 and that seemed to fix the
problem.
