My experiences with TSW and Thomas is different. I always got the parts
I needed when I asked for it.

I feel the wheel is very good, but its time saving to learn to service
it yourself. I now purchase my pots etc. in a local electronic store.

Thomas web site provides with good explenations about the changing of
pots etc.

I have spare pots  handy, so a pot change takes about 10 min.

A german called Hartmut runs a european tsw service senter, I bought a
electronic cleaner spara from him. It was very good, now I havent
changed my pots for several months. The spray is made by Phillips.

Hi Sean,

Sorry to hear you are having trouble with your TSW 'pots'......it is
annoying when the pots give up on any wheel/pedal assm.  It is
unfortunately the weak point of most designs....I have a very high
quality all metal home-brew system using 'MIL' spec pots.....and have
had to change them after 18 months of fairly heavy use......I did
purchase about a dozen of these at a radio/electronic surplus sale....so
I have plenty of spares!  Thats the trick Sean...get some spares in.
Would you race a REAL car without taking a few spares?

I have only heard good of TSW, so I am sure once you have calmed
down....you will perhaps have second thoughts on your comments!  My hat
goes of to any company that manufactures sym wheel/pedals.....beleive
me, after building my proto-type....I gave up on the idea of mass
producing them for general sale!  The answer = GET SOME SPARES and learn
how to fit them.

That may be the problem. Instead of spending 1.79 for a cheap pot get a good
one. Just my opinion.

Quit whining and go to Radio Shack and get some pots for $1.79 each.
Cut off the end, stick 'em in and go racing. I've had a Thomas wheel
since the very first batch and NOTHING has broken except for the pots
wearing out. The man is sincere and hard working. With the attitude
that you have, I would have told you to take your business elseware.
Who needs your grief?
