Depends on the country of origin: UK, USA, GER, etc.

Kerbs is UK spelling.

Curbs is US spelling.

Kurbs...I haven't seen this one.  A marrage between a Brit and a
Yank?  ;)

Someone looking for a compromise.<g>

Tyres is UK spelling.

Tires is US spelling.

I am not a native english speaker. Can someone tell me the correct
spelling of some racing-related words? I found them spelled rather
differently them in various books, web pages, manuals, etc.

kerbs - curbs - kurbs ??
[on one GP2 page a guy was talking about 'cutting the cerbs' - this
one got me _really_ confused ;]

tyres - tires ??

Thanks, Karim

Karim....
"Kerb" or "kerbing" is the spelling for that part of the roadway where the
track, or road surface, meets the grass, dirt, or special concrete section
that one usually sees painted in red/white stripes.

"Curb" is also the U.S. spelling of "kerb" when used in an automotive
sense.

Confusing, I know!  Safe to say that either is correct to use.

The same with "tires" (U.S. spelling) and "tyres" (general English
spelling).
