4x4 Evolution

4x4 Evolution is a brand graphics and simulation engine. We currently plan
to support up to 1600x1200 and 32 bit color for people who own graphic cards
that have enough video memory to support it. We don't want to give out all
our secrets right away but there will be plenty of cool things about this
game. If any of you live in Los Angeles you should plan on attending the E3
convention May 10th-14th. We will be having a playable version of the game
at E3.

Best Regards,
John O'Keefe
Producer
Terminal Reality Inc.

Oops, I meant to say brand new graphics instead of brand graphics.

4x4 Evolution

For those who don't remember, Terminal Reality was the brains behind Monster
Truck Madness 2 which features excellent graphics (especially considering
it's age and 640 max resolution) and actually has real round tires and wheel
wells and smooth shiny vehicle surfaces. When this game comes out for the
PC, I'll probably get it even if it's just to watch the graphics.

4x4 Evolution

Are you the same John O' Keefe who started gpl.gamestats.com?

If so I would bet that you have an uncompromising view of the importance
of a good physics engine in a simulation.  Will 4X4 Evolution be an
arcade or simulation with regards to physics?

I realize graphics are important.  Much more so now that I have seen F1
2000.  But I'm still waiting for that perfect mix of graphics and physics
that will finally unseat GPL as the sim of sims.  As I write this
multiplayer comes to mind as well.  Fill us in...

Yes, I am the same John O'Keefe. I also along with Alison Hine conceived and
developed VROC. As of late I have not had much time to work on VROC and
fotunately Alison Hine, Nate Hine, and Larry Holbert have continued working
on it.

4x4 Evolution will lean more towards simulation with regards to physics.

Hopefully you can tell from the screen shots that the graphics will be good.
You will have to wait until there is a demo or E3 to see how the physics
are. The multiplayer will be strong. More screen shots, movies, information,
and demo will come out during the rest of the year. It looks like fans of
off-road racing will have a good year with Rally Masters, Lead Foot, and 4x4
Evolution coming out!
