every night!

Reminds me of my daughter, when asked in 1st grade what her daddy did
for a living ... 'He sits and plays a computer all day'

I haven't been able to explain her the joys of programming ... yet ;-)

Good article. But it's not playing, it's a sport :) I told some
friends that I had to be late to a get together since I had a league
race until 8 pm, and got huge question marks in return. "You put
priority on a computer game and virtual friends ?". Arguments like
"No, I put priority on my hobby and sport" was not
tolarated... Specially funny since this was from a guy who put working
out on top of everything.

Hehe...
There's a guy in one of my racing leagues that skipped a friend's 40th birthday
party because we had a league race on the same night...  There are also several
people who have had 'discussions' with their wives because they didn't want to
go to their christmas party that conflicted with a race.<g>
I guess I should be *glad* I'm not married...? :-)

<snip>
How can anybody seriously consider missing the league race because
of some party?? <g>

Maybe... But how do you explain why you crashed out of the race then?

Alex.

It's bad enough explaining to people that you still play "games".  Just hope
they don't find out about the time you spend on the usenet *discussing* the
"game"!  Or, in the worst case (like mine), you find more time to discuss
the "game" than to actually play it...

No it isn't.  How many of us are posting from work?  It's a LOT easier to
discuss it than PLAY it...<g>
