Is there something about Brands that I don't know? The computer cars are
turning 1:04s and faster in single player and I'm turning close to that in
multiplayer. I was on a server and they all swore I was cheating and kicked
me. They were all turning like 1:30's - did they just all suck? It was an
F12K2 server - not GTR.

Well 1:30's is fairly slow for the GTR cars too.  I'm not sure what was
going on.  I haven't run there with the eff 1's so I don't know what times
you should be getting.  I would sure think the time should be at least below
1:10.

You might have joined a server that wasn't on Brand at all... If the server
didn't have GT2002 installed he might have been racing at Spa for example,
and your times there would be out of worldly for them...Since you were
racing on Brand.

Yeah,  good point...I forgot about that....if you join a server that is
using a track that YOU DON'T HAVE, then the sim will just load up whatever
track it feels like.  I joined an FIA GT V3 session a while back and started
doing laps at SPA.  So there I was...getting a yellow flag EVERY lap about
3/4th of the way through...and then I saw the lap times....Ladies and
Gentlemen, we all know I'm slow...but I about had a heart attack.  Almost a
full minute faster were the reported times for the other drivers....I
started screaming about which cheats they had enabled, or  to what level of
traction had they edited the tarmac.  Finally figured out they were at
Estoril.  Dloaded the new track from Tantra...fired it up and got back to
were I should be.....5 to 10 seconds slower  :)

Wait - that doesn't make sense.  Wouldn't the other drivers see him driving off
the track?  If not, what's to keep a driver from picking a track that's just a
*little* faster than the real one, and driving away to an easy victory?

Never argue with an idiot.  He brings you down to his level, then beats you

Well actually it usually looks like he's floating several hundred feet
above the track.  Or buried in a hill depending upon the track elevations.
The sim just chooses a track...so the driver can't PICK a short one...and
all that's moot anyhow because the sim/mod won't score him.  He'll be
motoring around solo and won't get scored in either track.
