Ive never had any problems with companies that advertise through
pricewatch.com until today, i think.
I got two sticks of Samsung 128mb PC800 rdram in the mail. One of the
sticks is labeled MR16R0828BN1-CK8  128mb/8.
The other stick is labeled MR16R1624AF0-CK8  128mb/4. This stick doesnt
match the other 3 that are labeled 128mb/8, and im guessing this stick wont
take in the computer. Im not even gonna take the golden screwdriver yet
until i hear otherwise.
What the heck is that 128mb/4 stick for ? Anyone else ever get the ol' horn
like this when ordering "matched" rdram mail order ?
 Thanks for listening guys :)

Who did you get it from?  (And, no, I've been pretty lucky...so far.)

It could be entirely possible that a stick or batch got mixed together in their inventory and you
just happened to get the wrong part no.  Just call the place you ordered it from and ask, I'm sure
if its truely different they will replace it no cost to you.

Coast to Coast out of Jersey. I'm not complaining, but just curious as to
what "grade" of ram this 128/4 vs 128/8  is. When i used to race electric
R/C trucks a handfull of years ago or so, i used matched sanyo cells to make
up my battery packs. The labels on each cell allowed those in the know what
they did during their matching cycle(s) so that the battery pack when
soldered together, insured the cells all worked in unison. But im too lazy
to research it tonight ;)
