New Website Announced !!!!!!!!! (long)

by ymenar » Mon, 05 May 1997 04:00:00

Hi to all simracers!

First of all I just want to tell you that now I work for SPEED.  But
this is not the main subject of my post.  I have a seious prjoect for a
SimRacing Website .It's a SimRacing page that I have in plan.  But it's
not a traditional page.  Nobody has done it before (AFAIK).  It is a Sim
Racing Hall-of-Fame, or the SRHOF.  Someone has made one for Gp2, but it
was only for lap times.  But mine would be like a Hall-of-fame of a
sport.  With nominees and records.  But for all the sim-racing games.
This a a little big long but It's just to know what the other people
think about this.  I have plans of it (for the layout) and I'm at the
HTML stage.  Here's a list of person who are admitted to the SRHOF.
There maybe people that don't are in the list and also that don't belong
in the list.  I'm also searching for old makers of web site (Indycar1
and World Circuit) before Decmber 1996.  here is it (long):

Tony Johns
Gerhard Lingenberg
Micheal E. Carver
Eric T. Busch
Ty Byrd :)
Adam Levesque
Jim Sokoloff
Tribute to Goeff Crammond :)
r.a.s. foundaters (when did it started? Who?)
Alex Santannio
15level drivers in Hawaii
Pieter's Gp2 (Pieter ????)
"The Pits" people
"IWCCARS" people
People who were big in the past (before 1996)
Don Wilshe
Kyle Langston
Joe Farr
Pekka Heino
Matti Laitinen (Masayard)
Steve Ramirez
Dave Sparks
Chasman and Spyder (don't know their real names)
Jim Moore (wheretorace.com)
David Martin (IVL)
Earl Ma
Tor Nygren
Marc J. Nelson
Lars Birkemose
Other poeple from Papyrus
Producers of old games (ex: Stunts, Ferrari Challenge, etc..)
Other N2, Icr2m, Gp2, etc..  website producers
etc...

This is not the official list 'cause they're names that don't are or
don't belong their.  And don't flame me 'cause I forgotten a name!! If
you have any other candidates please tell me.  With all this I'm going
to let vote people on r.a.s. and on websites.  At first they will be 15
person admitted, and after 5 at each month.  Everyone will have a photo
and some question to respond.  I have 30 questions presently.  I hope to
finish this page at mid-july.  They will also be special sections.  If
you have any comments on the page please E-mail me.  And I hope that it
will work good without any bugs.  Also look at my new signature.  Hope
you took the time reading it carefully.  Thanks a lot,

Good race at the Brickyard,

That sounds like a very good plan.  I would visit there frequently.  That
is a very good idea.
