Dale's Greatest Victory

by <hmail.. » Thu, 22 Feb 2001 08:08:13

THE GREATEST VICTORY

For twenty seven years he reigned,
The wizard of the track.
The great Intimidator drove,
while holding nothing back.
A bump,
A nudge,
An artful pass,
He gave the fans his best.
Respected by the NASCAR vets,
An example for the rest.
One day while in Daytona,
As he finished up the race,
Dale watched his son ahead of him,
now clinching second place.
This race was very special,
Number Three was not alone,
For Jesus took the wheel and said,
" Good race Dale, let's go home..."

I think that's the first time I've ever heard Jesus get blamed for a
car accident. Sorry, but that poem is terrible.

Sorry Tim O, but your comments are totally disrespectful and tasteless.
I think the poem was very inspiring.
Everyone has there time to part from this life... a good lesson for us all
to learn.

I do not believe that was his intent at all.  Please re-read it and think
outside the box.

Lets all get a grip here. Saying a poem stinks isn't disrespectful or
tasteless. Perhaps my stance on mystical beings controlling our
destiny gives me more clarity than most.
Sorry.

Maybe Tim, but you don't have to be a dink to those with "less
clarity". People deal with things like this differently. Your way
isn't necessarily the right way.

Congratulations, Tim.  You're now being honored as the second person to have a
kill fill named after him on my newsreader.  Just because you don't believe,
doesn't mean you're either right on in the majority.  Accept that.  (I - and
those who believe - might not be right either but I'm not going to slam you for
saying that.)

Well, not believing in an afterlife means I don't have to live my life in fear
