I am NOT asking to compare this game to NASCAR or Indy, only for
a fair opinion on what the game is like on it's own.
Does it require a Pentium 10000 like NASCAR, or can you play it
on a home computer??
Is it a pretty fair game? Saw it on sale the other day..
thanks.

The Super Karts demo seemed pretty cool though (even on Emu's DX2/66).
Dunno about Super Karts full game, but Microprose's VIRTUAL KARTS is a
load of ***ING BOLLOCKS -- DO NOT BUY IT - IT'S SHIT

I second that emotion. The game has no "Personality", if you get what I
mean. It takes yonks to load off the cd. And when you're driving you have
little awareness of what's going on around you.

Since I have no access to network play it sits.  The only thing I didn't
like was the tracks, they are kind of silly.  Racing action is great.

Well, it is pretty good.  Kinda tough sometimes.  To go fast you have
to go to a higher skill level which makes it very hard.  I wish that I
could go fast but still have a chance to compete.  Pretty realistic.
The kart slides around if you go into a corner too hot but all the
tracks are like themes, like on the beach or in a city.  Big walls all
over the place.  I would like it better if it had real open courses
with real pavement.  It is a mix between a sim and an arcade.  They
could have made it into a sim if they would have tried hard enough.
How much are you going to pay for it?  It might be worth it.  Lots of
tracks but just one kart.  Good skill level adjustment but you kinda
putt along in the easiest level.

Well I hope that helped you a little.

Later....

Where is the Super Karts demo....I've got virtual karts and it does
suck. Takes way to long to load.

I use to play Super Karts and it's younger brother Manic Karts.

Well, they're not SIMULATORS - just arcade games - but I find it
pretty exciting playing it.
