Monaco racing full retail version problems - please help

by Paul Jone » Sat, 03 Oct 1998 04:00:00

Just got the full retail version of Monaco racing. Haven't got to far
yet - the track is light blue and the tree are hollow and hazy. Some of
the colours are okay but it's nearly unplayable as it stands. My machine
is:
Intel PII 400MHz
Creative Voodoo2 with 12Mb RAM
128 Mb RAM
100Mhz bus
Windows 98
32x CD-ROM

I have almost the same spec except I have a 450 PII and I have no problems
at all. Have you got DX6 properly installed as MGPRS2 will not run without
it? Just a thought..

I doubt this is your your problem but try it anyway. Go to your V2
settings(under display properties) and there is a button for
"advanced". Check the box that says something like "limit glide apps
to 2 megs of memory". This cleared up some problems for me in Unreal
but your mileage may vary.

Hi,
I had the same problem, it's the Creative Labs card, you need the latest
driver. Visit Creative's website www.soundblaster.com.
 Bye,
  Kev.
