I keep reading great things about this mod for F12001 - sorry, but in my
ignorance, what is it exactly - what era/type of cars.
If it as good as you all say I'll buy f12001 tomorrow just for this mod.

The cars are from last season I believe. There are Vipers, Listers, Two
Ferrari's (550 & 360) And two variations of Porsche. It's well worth buy the
sim just to get this mod even if you don't like modern F1. I've also seen
pics of Le Mans prototypes being put together for a mod for F1 2001.

Thanks for the info - much appreciated. I loved GPL and enjoy GP3 but from
reviews I've read f12001 is better so the investment should be worth it.
Thanks again.

The cars go as fast as F1 but have no aero, so unless you go around every
corner at close to walking pace you just fly off sideways.

Looks nice, sounds nice but I prefer the F1 cars myself.

I think the mod is fantastic (even tried to drum up some interest in v.1
here at r.a.s), but I love the modern F1 cars. The GT cars do seem a little
slow and tedious to drive after awhile. Going back to the F1 cars gets the
adrenalin flowing again.

I notice some people here who say they only want to play the mod and dislike
the F1 cars. There seems to be some who only like a sim (and think it's
realistic) if the cars slip and slide and have a squishy suspension. :-0

Hehe.. that would be me ;)
I said that even if a F1 sim is realistic I do not like it... probably
ESPECIALLY if it's realistic.
So yes, I do prefer slip & slide sims... but no,  I never said F1-2001 is
not realistic, just not to my taste in driving.

As F1 sims goes I think F1-2001 is by far the best... miles ahead of GP2?
and F1RC.
