GP3 : Split blacked out dashboard

by Jame » Mon, 31 Jul 2000 04:00:00

When playing GP3 I get a diagonal split dashboard (top left to bottom right)
with the bottom diagonal completely black.

It does occasionally go back to normal, but very rarely.

Anyone know why it happens?

PC Details :

PIII 733
256Mb RAM
Diamond Viper 770D 32Mb video card
DirectX v.7.0 (4.07.00.0716)
Diamond Drivers : 4.11.01.0231

Drivers Drivers Drivers!!!!

Your using Version 2.31,  get version 5.33 at www.reactorcritical.com

or at least version 5.22 from Diamond or Nvidia

Thanks for the help.  This has definitely solved the problem.  If anyone is
using older drivers for their Diamond card and playing GP3 I can definitely
recommend an update - my FPS seems to have dramatically improved and on
automatic graphics I don't get object dropout which I did before - the trees
at Hockenheim kept disappearing before, but they remain the whole time now.
My laptimes have dropped too, 'spose its 'cos I don't get such jerky
graphical updates.
