Help with IndyCar controls

I need help with IndyCar's key controls as a mail order company I

received it from has screwed me. How do you save during a race? Is

there an accelerated time facility?  Does it automatically save during

a championship? Any help would be much appreciated. No I do not

have a pirated copy so those of you quick to jump on that bandwagon

don't bother.
