Does anyone get around 1.8 mpg on road/street courses? Usually I'm in the
1.3's. Is it the amount of downforce mainly. If so, how could AI go so
fast AND go so many laps. Also, has anyone ever got more than 39 laps (of
green) at MIS on a 40 gal. tank. Any gas mileage tips would be greatly
appreciated (other than short-shifting and smooth brake and throttle
application)

I think that is pretty much it...hmm..less downforce/drag and taller
gears perhaps?
Or as Robby said, "Slow down" ;)
Knocking the boost down a notch does wonders as well...

Take out maybe half a degree of wing, turn down boost (too compensate for
the wing) taller gears, and, SLOW DOWN!!! You do NOT have to lead from
lap 1 to lap 250...Maybe settle in 2,3, or even 4rth spot!!

From following him during his 3 or 4 team stint in F1, I am more than
pleased to see him doing so well. I just knew that his day would come.
It is nice to see some of the "never" rans from F1 come into a league
that can show their talents. While CART still has some "never-run"
teams, there are certainly more competitive teams in CART than in F1.
