NASNET for all that care

by Alex Santantoni » Tue, 17 Jun 1997 04:00:00

A few months ago I started NASNET as a place for people to start when it
came to NASCAR.  Over the months it developed into a very large league
and also a popular site.  I invested several hundred dollars and many
hours of my own for the advancement of this game.  I have been working
non stop on tracks and cars for N2 and recently went into the chat.
Much to my suprise there has been a lot going on.  I now see that a ANTI
NASNET page has formed and on it were accusations and what can be
considered a death threat.  At 11:00pm eastern time on Sunday night
there was a picture of a shotgun and a caption that read "The solution-

-Unfortunately, no one is willing to charge into Alex the Dictator's
house with a shot-gun and end this problem quickly. So a
slow, slow process begins.... We, ANTI-NASNET members, must take step by
step to bring down the reign of NASNET and the
poor-remake of a corporate empire that it has come to be."

This has gotten way out of hand.  I still after talking with this person
do not see what I have done and all of the accusations on his page are
completely false.  The members of this page have defaced my message
board on both the private league board and also the public board.  They
are also responsible for posting the racist posts in this discussion
group.  They go under the name Ferorov, they will not even tell their
real name.  I am sorry to all of you for having to see this and for the
problems that this has caused.  This needs to stop. I was also quoted as
saying soomething to the effect of I am GOD, that is also a lie.
Somebody is blowing this way out of proportion.  Again I am sorry.

This type of activity is definately illegal. There are children in my
area who have been aressted for less than this. My advice would be to
report this as someone else already posted they are doing I am
forwarding this to my ISP. And will request that he inform me of the
action he has taken.

Children, this is a game and a sport. If you do not like NASNET do not
go to the NASNET page, very simple. If you want to start your own
league, This is America so go do so. Do not call it Anti-Nasnet. You
Allege Mr Santantonio acts as a dictator, you are the ones empowering
him by letting him define your site for you ie (ANTI-NASNET) Why not
call it Children With a Misdirected Value System who Need to Learn
Something About the Priorities in Life Before They Grow Up or They are
in Serious Trouble Racing League or "CWMVSNLAPLBTGUTSTRL" Too long
maybe?  At least it would be something relevant to you. Better yet join
a different league and learn something about the game and life in the
process from some of the people who run in them. This game and newsgroup
is about Fun and sportsmanship. Save the hatered and death threats for
another newsgroup. Im sure there are some that are made for that.
Just remeber that you are leaving a very clear trail to your self. And
there are pleanty of people who really do want to be dictators, not of
NASCAR (please) but of the INET and its persons like you that give them
their amunition. I think any one else should not encourage these people
by responding please don't reply to this as I'm busy at the Federal
Building  and it probably wont get through <G>

...

Well I'm not part of Nasnet, but that is almost irrelevant.

To reiterate it is the offensive postings of some people that was my
concern and I'm sure that of most of the other readers of this group.

And I'm far too busy to have the time to conspire against one group or
another.

you???
You must be a spoiled rotten 15 year old punk who thinks he is owed
everything.
I used to kick the ass of every spoiled bastard like you I could when I
was your age.

What rules are you talking about, yours??

Get a life

He aint gotta share anything with you , how about spending all the time
whining about it, learning how to make your own!
