Nevermind, found it as GT Legends. Is this supposed to be kinda like Grand
Prix Legends only GT?

More like a GTR only Legends.

Obviously they chose the name to encourage comparisons.
There's a demo that's worth a look at. It didn't persuade
me to buy at full price, but it's a lot more satisfying to
drive than many sims I've tried.

I think I may just be allergic to downforce. More grip
doesn't mean more fun.

?

Are you thinking of GTR and not GT Legends?  These cars are *plenty*
slidable.

I'm finding it more fun than GTR, or at least fun in a different way.

I know, that's why I enjoyed it more than most other
recent releases. I haven't even bothered reinstalling
rFactor and LFS2 after a recent XP reinstall.

The only reason I haven't bought GTL is I'm waiting for
the price to drop. I always end up going back to GPL at
the Ring, so why waste money? :-)

Boy, am I with you on that!  I first noticed it with SCGT, the further I
progressed along the career ladder, the less fun I was having.  Same
thing with NFSPorsche, loved the 356's and 550 spyders, cannabe arsed to
even finish it.  GPL is great, '65 mod is better, '69 mod is worse.

Hi Andrew...

GTL is DEFINITELY worth buying. As it models older cars (60's and 70's)
you can set them up to slide around all over the place and have minimal
downforce.

I didn't try the demo so I can't comment, but maybe it was not as good
as the full product?

Earlier this week I saw both GTR and GTL in a "two for one" sale in PC
World, I think it was 30 for both, which is a real bargain. I have both
GTR and most of the add ons, and also GTL (as well as GPL of course) and
these three are the best sims out there at the moment imho...

Hi Peter. You obviously missed the thread where I was driving GTL at the
'Ring at night and having a very good time indeed! :-) With so many sim
choices I was reluctant to add another barely-driven title to my HD, but
the 'Ring conversion was the final straw, and it was worth the money just
for that.

I really *don't* like the ridiculous number of cars, but I suppose it's
an acceptable way of luring folk through the game structure... if you
stick to it. ;-)
