For you NSR guys, some of you are blind?

Now since all this finally got to come about late last night, I only got to
install, look around and find all the friggin controls for things like
sounds that I thought must not exist...  (Jesus Chrysler, how many posts
have I read about not being able to hear the spotter, engine too loud) and
assumed the controls were not there.

FWIW, I have a 2.5 GHz Intel, 512 mem, gf ti4600 w128M ram, 200gig drive
(like that matters).  I have Daemon tools and Blindwrite's suits for DVD.
Everything installed just fine.

My 1st impressions after one quick practice then onto Multiplayer via OLR
server I jumped into I was online as mwing32 surely there is one guy that I
bumped last night that wants to flame me...  LOL!   Now remember I don't
have my PLR file tweaked up yet, just as installed set at 'veteran' {since
it seemed to me to be the HIGHEST skill setting?) in the Mwing32 profile.  I
turned the gfx for my car & opponents to HIGH, rest of the settings I think
are medium except track details and something else I turned up to high
(secular highlights?  something because I saw parts blowing around the
track...)

I get 49 fps (started 8th online last night).  of course I hit/ran over
someone by accident (was not as ready for the car to take longer to slow
upon lift & breaking going into turn 3 the second lap, as he really lifted
more than usual) and then later I think he exited the pit for retaliation or
another fool was retaliating the guy in front of me and missed, which of
course ejected me from the car, my race was over...  (the thing that pissed
me of most about this is, the spotter/crewchief said "the car is going to be
ok..." and you could hear them talking about fixing the car.  BTW I was in
5th holding my own, barely...  But of course figgin EA had already had me
showering and drinking a soda in the trailer...

one thing I DO HATE (especially online) is how you set which setup it is
going to use, for each "session" is almost the ***ey'est coding I have seen
since the days of Text adventure games...

the next thing I noticed is each join or leave is announced via text...
this is fugging annoying, plus freezes the screen slightly (might be less
noticeable on machines with for FPS?)

BTW you did have on track INTERVAL timing of cars ahead or behind you, if
you hit f2 followed by hitting the space key...

too much ***ing I think, not enough looking around for controls like sound
sliders, and other options...  I get a couple tweaks like mirror jitter, and
no eject, I will be pretty dayum happy for now!
