Problems Installing T2

by bergm.. » Sat, 04 Jan 1997 04:00:00

Even though I have done exactly as the directions say in installing the
T2 I can not get it to run with Need for Speed.  When I get to the
calibration screen after moving the gear shift through the gears using
the wheel and accelerator pedal, nothing happens when I am prompted to
push a button. Neither of the two buttons on the T2 do anything.
Although during the Win95 calibration they are working.  I also have the
correct adaptor.

Is the 2 button/2 axis the correct choice for the Win 95 calibration?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Barry,
It sounds like NFS isn't seeing the range of calibration values that it
wants to see from a controller...this probably means that you need a
Dedicated, Speed Adjustible game card.
The best setting in Win95 is to make sure that you're using the Axis
Adapter, and setting it as a: CUSTOM, 2 Axis, 4 Button.  Is a Race Car
Controller.

After moving through all the gears with the wheel and pedals,
try to make sure that the gear shift on the screan is *exactly*
centered and then press the gear shift on the T2 up or down.
Don't push the buttons on the T2.

Yes.  Upshift should be button 1 and downshift should be button
2.  I don't think you can use the buttons on the T2 for anything in NFS.

Hope this helps.
